Applications are sought for an experienced electrophysiologist to drive a project funded by the British Heart Foundation studying the regulation of Kv7.1 channels by βγ G proteins. This work builds upon a phenomenon identified by the research group1,2 and is concerned with an ion channel important in cardiac rhythmicity. The successful candidate will be expected to drive the generation and analysis of data, presentation conferences, contribute to writing of papers and future grant applications. This is a new area of research, so a positive and flexible mind set is required to advance the project.
