The university is a vibrant, multicultural hub of learning, creativity and innovation that never surrenders to convention.
Faculty / Directorate
DMU’s strategy - ‘The Empowering University’ is championed by our Vice-Chancellor, Professor Katie Normington. It is designed to enable its students, staff and partners to create a fairer society. As part of this innovative vision for the future, DMU has outlined a new Masterplan designed to deliver a connected campus, sustainable estate and world-class learning environment. To achieve this we are seeking to appoint an exceptional Director of Estates, to provide innovative leadership which enables the delivery of our strategy through creating a sense of belonging on campus and a seamless connection between physical and digital spaces.
Role
A key member of the university’s extended leadership team, reporting to the Chief Transformation and Resources Officer, Tracey Jessup, the Director will drive high levels of provision to enhance the student and academic experience, reinforce the centrality of the University to the city and its communities, and ensure that the estate acts as a fundamental enabler for achieving the university’s ambitions.
The role is on a full time, permanent basis.
