Applications are invited for two temporary posts of BDIC Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Electronic Engineering within UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) and University College Dublin (UCD) have agreed to work towards the establishment of a new world-class institution of higher education. The Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) is a recognised College of both BJUT and UCD, offering a range of dual degrees including a BE in Internet of Things Engineering (IoTE) and Electronic and Information Engineering (EiE).

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (SEEE) in UCD is recruiting two (2) lecturers to deliver modules on both degree programs, spending one trimester (approximately, 20 weeks) in Beijing per academic year. The rest of the year is spent in Dublin, where the post-holder is expected to contribute to the School’s research and administration activities.

Particular to this position: A significant time commitment in BDIC is an essential requirement of this role.The successful candidate is required to be physically based in Beijing and teach in the Beijing Dublin International College (BDIC) for a period of 20wks (approximately) within a trimester for each academic year of this temporary 5-year post.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
