To build on this strong foundation and to drive further success, we are seeking to appoint a new Registrar, Secretary and Chief Operating Officer (RSCOO). As a key member of the University’s Executive Board (UEB), reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the RSCOO will play a critical role in the development and execution of strategic plans which assure the sustainable future success of the University. They will be responsible for managing and ensuring our professional services drive organisational progress and effectively support and enhance our academic ambitions. As Secretary to Council, the RSCOO will have responsibility for our institutional governance and regulatory requirements and will act as a trusted advisor to the Vice-Chancellor and the Chair of Council, playing a pivotal role in the relationship between the Council and the University Executive Board.
We are seeking a strategic leader with a proven ability to build, lead and inspire high-performing teams with responsibility for wide-ranging services. They will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality, integrated services that help drive business performance, combined with the ability to drive change at pace in a complex regulatory environment. With excellent judgement, communication skills, and high levels of emotional intelligence, they will be comfortable advising boards and stimulating and challenging thinking. Commercial acuity, strong analytical skills, and the ability to cultivate highly productive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders will also be essential.
