An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Norwich Climate Commission Coordinator to join the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research to support the effective running of the Norwich Climate Commission. The Commission comprises citizen volunteers with relevant expertise who help steer, support and scrutinise Norwich’s journey to climate action and sustainability.
You will organise a series of public events in support of the commissioners and the commission objectives, and prepare Briefing Notes and similar products on Norwich-related climate and sustainability topics. You will also support the running and administration of the commission.
You will have full responsibility for delivering events and co-ordinating resources for those events and need to work to your own initiative, while steered by Asher Minns and other Climate Commissioners.
This is a great opportunity for someone who seeks a part-time role in a public engagement and project management role that can be fitted around other commitments.
This part-time (0.2FTE) post is available from 1 June 2025 on a fixed term basis for up to 24 months. The role is based on campus, but precise working days are flexible.
We strongly encourage applications from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds, and welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.
Further information on our great benefits package, including 34 days annual leave inclusive of Bank Holidays and additional University Customary days (pro rata for part-time), can be found on our benefits page.
