Aston Business School, a triple-crown accredited institution located in the heart of Birmingham—England’s second-largest city—invites applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position in Finance within the Department of Accounting and Finance. The department comprises nearly 50 members and promotes a collaborative, research-focused environment aligned with international standards of excellence.
We are seeking a motivated academic with a strong research profile or the potential to develop one. The successful candidate will be expected to produce high-quality research, pursue external funding, and publish in top-tier journals in Finance and related fields such as Economics, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning for Finance.
Teaching excellence is equally important. The appointee will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, particularly in areas such as Risk Management, Fintech, or Machine Learning in Finance. Experience in these subjects will be advantageous. Duties will also include academic administration, PhD and Master’s supervision, and involvement in departmental and School-wide initiatives.
