The University of Reading is seeking to appoint a Student Immigration Compliance Manager based within the Student Experience and Education Directorate.

The successful applicant will lead the Student Immigration Compliance work within the University. This role is part of the International Student Advisory team which in addition to Home Office Compliance, contains team members who supports our international students with visa and immigration advice and on wider International Student Experience areas, supporting and celebrating our International Student community. Supporting students to make the most of their time in the UK whilst studying. Further providing advice and support to wider University colleagues to enable them to support International Students

The Student Immigration Compliance Manager plays a crucial role within the University, directly impacting the successful recruitment and retention of international students through effective compliance processes and procedures.

You will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of how UKVI Student Sponsor regulations affect university operations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of Student visa policy, Immigration Rules and Student Sponsor Guidance, and their operational impact within the University (Compliance).
  • Collaborative approach to working with others and contributing to team goals.
  • Ability to analyse complex immigration policy guidance, regulations to develop clear and effective policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify potential compliance issues and develop proactive solutions
