Inspire the Future of Pharmaceutics

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Lecturer in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics) to join our growing Pharmacy team within the School of Health and Care Sciences, part of the College of Health and Science.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and innovative academic community with a strong commitment to high-quality, student-centred education and impactful professional development. Our pharmacy provision is expanding and includes successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes such as the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm), Independent Prescribing, and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The post offers a chance to shape the future of pharmacy education in Lincolnshire and beyond, supporting the development of skilled, confident, and practice-ready graduates who will meet the evolving needs of healthcare systems and the pharmaceutical sector.

As a Lecturer in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics), you will:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of modules across the MPharm and BSc Pharmaceutical Sciences programmes
  • Engage in interdisciplinary curriculum development within the School and wider College
  • Support students academically and pastorally, acting as a personal tutor and project supervisor
  • Participate in scholarly activity, professional practice, or pedagogical development aligned to the School’s ambitions
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to enhance the educational experience and student outcomes

Depending on your background, this role offers scope to develop a strong academic profile in pharmacy education or professional practice, including working closely with professional bodies, industry partners, and community stakeholders.

We are seeking applicants with:

  • A strong academic or professional background in pharmaceutics or a closely related field
  • A passion for teaching and learning and a commitment to student success
  • An interest in curriculum development and delivering high-quality, inclusive education
  • A collaborative and flexible approach, with excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A willingness to contribute to the School’s scholarly activity, industry engagement, and the wider academic mission

We welcome applications from candidates at the start of their academic career as well as those with higher education teaching experience.

If you are enthusiastic about making a difference in pharmacy education and would enjoy working in a collaborative academic environment, we would love to hear from you.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact David Aziz, Director of Pharmacy Education, at daziz@lincoln.ac.uk.
