We are excited to be expanding our animal care team by recruiting a permanent, full-time Animal Technician. The successful candidate will be passionate about animal welfare and research excellence and looking for an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, forward-thinking and vibrant multi-species, multi-site team at a leading research University.
The successful candidate must be able to take independent responsibility for the welfare of the animals in their care and contribute to the training of trainee and research staff as required. An essential requirement will be to ensure effective liaison with and support of Nottingham’s research community, including advising on welfare requirements and the 3Rs (replacement, reduction, and refinement). You must already hold the Institute for Animal Technology Level 2 Diploma or have equivalent experience. All candidates must have good communication and organisational skills and be able to demonstrate a vocational and responsible approach to working with animals.
