Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:

The School of Design and Creative Arts is seeking to recruit a new colleague to undertake an academic role across research, teaching and enterprise in the area of Graphic Design and User Experience. The School has a highly successful research and teaching track record in Graphic Design and User Experience domains and is particularly interested in candidates with applied practice experience in any area of graphic design, user experience design and storytelling. Due to the cross- and inter-disciplinary nature of our work we are interested in hearing from applicants able to contribute across our BA Graphic Design, BA Design, MA Graphic Design and Visualisation, MA Storytelling and MA User Experience Design Programmes. 

Key Requirements:

  • To be a collegiate and respectful colleague capable of working across design and creative arts disciplines in a rich and vibrant community of researchers and practitioners
  • To have a developed or developing research background in a relevant domain able to contribute to the School’s world leading research
  • To have teaching experience, ideally at a Higher education level
  • To able to teach and inspire undergraduate and postgraduate students across a range of graphic design / UX modules. Skills in digital production and prototyping: Adobe Creative Suite, Figman, Protopie are essential
