We wish to appoint a Research Associate with expertise in qualitative research, health and care systems and policy to join the Health Organisation, Policy and Economics (HOPE) research group at The University of Manchester. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on a Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) commissioned Post-Implementation Review of the Health and Care Act 2022, co-led by Dr Jonathan Hammond (The University of Manchester) and Dr Marie Sanderson (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), and join the team delivering the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Policy Research Unit in Health and Care Systems and Commissioning (PRUComm).

The successful applicant will work closely with Dr Jonathan Hammond and Professor Kath Checkland, as well as the relevant research teams more widely. You will be based in the Division of Population Health, Health Services Research and Primary Care, in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health. This position offers the opportunity to undertake policy-relevant research, and liaise closely with policymakers and advisers in the Department of Health and Social Care.
