Most mothers with epilepsy receive little, late, or no specialist epilepsy care, because their risks of having seizures are not recognised. In order to minimise this risk we have an NIHR funded programme grant, ‘EpiSafe’, which aims to improve the outcome for pregnant women with epilepsy and their babies.
We are seeking to recruit a research fellow with a background in obstetrics to join our team.
You will work with the lead and partners to implement a national clinical trial and will be instrumental in maximising recruitment, outcome reporting and success of the trial. This post will co-ordinate engagement with all stakeholders (including patients and public (PPIE)) and oversee the running of the programme. With a demonstrable publication record, working knowledge of obstetrics and the NHS, good communication and presentation skills, and knowledge of GCP you will join a team dedicated to improving women’s health.
You will have a degree in medicine or a professional qualification allied to medicine.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis until May 2028.
This role is eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route.
