An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced credit controller/administrator to join Birmingham Newman University, a student-centred University currently undergoing a period of transformation, business diversification and growth.
We are seeking an individual with proven credit control experience, capable of taking responsibility for the University credit control process, playing a vital role in the timely collection of fees and commercial debt, whilst maintaining positive relationships with our students and external stakeholders. Flexibility and a positive attitude towards customer service are essential qualities.
The successful applicant will have proven ability to reduce debt, experience of working in a fast-paced finance environment whilst being diligent, accurate and detail-oriented, capable of prioritising workload. The role involves administrative duties, including administration of the University Support fund. The role will suit a team-player looking to broaden their finance experience and knowledge.
Educated to a minimum of GCSE level or equivalent, to include Maths and English, you will ideally be studying, or part qualified in AAT accountancy, although this is not essential. You will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines as well as strong IT and skills interpersonal skills in liaison with all levels of personnel.
