Here at Sheffield Hallam University, The School of Engineering and Built Environment is based in the College of Business, Technology and Engineering and encompasses a range of subject areas including Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechatronics.

Applicants should have an awareness of the current trends, issues, and developments in electrical/electronic engineering both nationally and internationally and will be expected to demonstrate an applied understanding of current industry developments during the selection process.
You do not need previous experience of teaching, as this is a great opportunity for an applicant with practical industry experience and a desire to inspire the next generation of Electrica/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineers.
We work closely with colleagues on the delivery of the CEng accredited BEng/MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the BEng Electrical Engineering (top-up), and the BEng Mechatronics and Robotics. The subject group also leads the MSc Electrical & Electronic Engineering course, MSc Automation and Robotics and teaches extensively across the MSc Engineering portfolio as well as the Degree Apprenticeship Programs. We also make a significant contribution to other engineering BEng and MSc programmes in the department and the delivery of degree apprenticeship courses across the University.
