About the role
The post-holder will also be required to analyse and write up data from related population or clinic-based epidemiological studies on the prevention and management of HIV-infection, diabetes and hypertension.
The post-holder will also deliver some teaching in epidemiology and statistics and will provide both pastoral and project supervision to MSc students in IGH. Key working relationships will include Professor Shabbar Jaffar and other trial Investigators, trial co-ordinators and data managers based in Uganda and Tanzania, and epidemiology colleagues in the Institute and more widely in East Africa.
About you
It is essential that the successful candidate has a Higher degree (PhD) in statistics or epidemiology or global health with a strong statistical component or equivalent working experience.
The role requires that the post holder has experience of conducting statistical analyses in research studies, good knowledge of epidemiological research methods and good knowledge of statistical methods and their application.
