About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Executive Assistant to support the Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing (ACHA). This role will involve direct support to Professors Gordon and Sampson, focusing on various administrative and operational tasks essential for the smooth running of the centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a brand-new team and a brand-new research centre, hosted at Whipps Cross Hospital, and anchored to the Barts Health ambition to transform Whipps Cross to become a world class centre of excellence, leveraging academic collaborations with Queen Mary University London and other partners to achieve outstanding care and support patients within North East London to live healthier lives for longer.

The post holder will be expected to be motivated and have excellent inter-personnel skills to engage with senior academic and clinical staff and professional service colleagues to understand their goals, challenges and help address them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the diaries of Professors Sampson and Gordon, scheduling meetings and appointments efficiently.
  • Act as an informed gatekeeper for ACHA, ensuring relevant information is communicated effectively.
  • Support day-to-day operations of the group, including organising and facilitating meetings and events.

About You
With previous experience of diary management, you are an organised and proactive professional with A-Level (or equivalent) qualifications or equivalent experience. Your excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills enable you to manage tasks efficiently in a busy environment. You thrive in collaborative settings and possess strong team-working abilities.
