The Role
The purpose of this role is to understand how we can support older people to stay in their own home as they age. You will do this by modelling health data from longitudinal studies of health. This project is part of the Advanced Care Research Centre (ACRC) which is based at Edinburgh University. Newcastle University have an academic partnership to ‘Understand the Person in Context'. Specifically, this role aims to investigate how to age in place successfully by understanding what it is and what shapes it. You will join us at the Population Health Sciences Institute and work with Professor Dame Louise Robinson, Professor Katie Brittain, Dr Kate Gibson and Dr Andrew Kingston.
As part of our commitment to career development for research colleagues, the University has developed 3 levels of research role profiles. These profiles set out firstly the generic competences and responsibilities expected of role holders at each level and secondly the general qualifications and experiences needed for entry at a particular level.
This post is full-time tenable until 30.11.2026
