The LSE School of Public Policy equips students with the skills and ideas to transform people and societies. We are an international community where ideas and practice meet, creating professionals with the ability to analyse, understand and resolve the challenges of contemporary governance.

We are now seeking to appoint a highly committed and motivated Programme Administrator for our Executive MPA and Executive MPP degrees to cover a secondment for 12 months. The EMPA and EMPP are modular, part-time degree programmes for mid-career professionals seeking to advance in the field of public policy and administration. The EMPA is open-enrolment, while the EMPP is a closed-entry degree for senior levels of the UK Civil Service. The two degrees share some teaching components and both are taught in intensive week-long and weekend blocks that allow working professionals to combine their careers with world-class education.

The post-holder will play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient running of the executive programmes.  You will collaborate with key academic and professional services staff to proactively develop the programmes, student experience and learning community. Responsibilities will include acting as a focal point of contact for student enquiries, course administration, editing online learning resources, and coordination of assessments and examinations. You will be responsible for detailed planning of programme logistics, contributing to the student lifecycle from orientation to graduation, and interaction with LSE’s central services to deliver a seamless student experience.

You should possess relevant administration and customer service (student-facing) experience within higher education. You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work under your own initiative as well as within a team, and excellent IT skills. A commitment to excellence in service delivery to students and colleagues is essential. Some attendance at evening or weekend events is required. Time off in lieu will be offered for weekend and evening work.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised administrator to join a busy and friendly team.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
