Background
The School of Mathematics welcomes applications for a 0.12 FTE research associateship in Applied Mathematics to work with Dr Xiaocheng Shang on the EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account funded project Machine Learning Assisted Diagnosis of Acute Compartment Syndrome via a Web Application.
The post is available for a period of 10 months (no later than 31 March 2026). The starting date is between May and June 2025 (with some flexibility).
The successful candidate will join a community of researchers in the Statistics and Data Science group within the School of Mathematics, University of Birmingham. The group consists of 16 permanent staff as well as large cohort of postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers and has proven track-record in mentoring and supporting the development of early-career researchers.
