About the Role 

The Peter Medawar Unit Administrator is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to work in a supporting role for a world leading research building, and who would be motivated by the opportunity to help find solutions so the building runs efficiently and effectively. A positive and flexible attitude is important, with a pro-active approach to the role.  In addition, experience of administrative work in a university context and within the OUHT would be highly desirable.

The administration team that supports the building is based on Level 5 of the John Radcliffe.

This post will have close working relations with the team in order to ensure the administrative processes of the Building run smoothly. On a daily basis the Unit Administrator will liaise with the Chairman of the Building, the Laboratory Manager and the other members of the PMB management committee. 

About You 

To be considered for this position you should have;

  • Considerable experience of administrative and project management support for project delivery;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional demeanour and a proactive and flexible approach to work;
  • High level of motivation with the ability to prioritise and drive your own work against deadlines while being respectful of other individuals responsibilities;
  • Evidence of knowledge in improvement schemes in Health Science, preferably with experience of compliance with  government directives;
  • Website management skills;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Ability to multitask including the ability to handle several complex assignments at once;
