An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Business Intelligence Analyst in Academic Registry’s Student Data & Statutory Reporting team.

About the role

The role will focus on providing accurate and meaningful analysis of data through accessible and engaging reports, and dashboards that enable colleagues across the University to gain insight and to measure performance and progress against strategic and operational goals.

You will provide knowledge and innovation that supports the strategic vision of the department, and will lead on reporting of all activity within the area of Student Data.

This role will involve engaging project work requiring innovative solutions and forward-thinking stakeholder engagement and support.

About you

As an expert in Microsoft PowerBI, you will be experienced in presenting insightful analysis of large, complex datasets using a variety of data visualisation techniques. You will have a thorough understanding of Data Protection legislation and how it applies to your work.  

An excellent communicator, you will be 

  • confident engaging with colleagues across a range of departments and levels of seniority.
  • skilled at translating complex requirements and working collaboratively to establish practical, deliverable solutions. 
  • experienced in providing guidance and training to others, sharing your expertise and developing others’ knowledge of Business Intelligence and its capabilities.
  • expert at making data analysis meaningful and accessible to a variety of audiences

Your ability to listen, ask insightful questions and explain analytical concepts in accessible terms will help you build strong working relationships.

As a creative and innovative thinker, you will work on projects, enhance procedures and continue to develop your personal knowledge and creative use of intelligence tools.

This is a full-time role, for a fixed-term period until July 2028.
