An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate to join the School of Computing Science to conduct research on a pioneering project exploring the technical, societal, legal and policy implications of artificial intelligence (AI) in Higher Education and work force development.
As a Senior Research Associate you will be required to conduct qualitative data collection and analysis, drafting research reports, undertaking policy analysis, and engaging with stakeholders to inform the development of responsible AI development and governance.
You will have an advanced degree (e.g., MSc with prior research experience, PhD or near completion (within 6 months of appointment) in the Social Sciences—such as Education, Social Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Healthcare, or a related discipline or equivalent professional experience. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret data and work effectively as part of a team. Advanced skills directly relating to this research area would be advantageous.
This full-time post is available on a fixed term basis for up to six months.
