We are looking for a kitchen porter to join our Campus Catering Services kitchen team. Campus Services Catering provide catering services across the University of Surrey campus. We operate 10 catering outlets, which comprise of a Food Court, Coffee Shops, Bars and extensive hospitality. We pride ourselves on providing excellent food and service to our students, staff and guests, and the strength of our team work

We are seeking a kitchen porter to join our team based at Hillside Food Court, to support the catering and hospitality provision.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning of Equipment: Clean any light equipment, to include crockery, glassware, cutlery and cooking equipment, as well as any heavy equipment such as ovens, ranges, bratt pans.
  • Cleaning of Kitchen Areas: Clean any kitchen areas, to include floors, walls, refrigerators, freezers, storage areas.
  • Transportation Duties: Transport food, drink and equipment to any required area on campus or off site locations.
  • Storekeeping: Assist in the operation of the Campus Catering Outlets, to include receiving deliveries, storage and distribution of stock.
  • Monitoring Systems: Assist with the completion of monitoring forms for the Safe Food System, Cleaning rotas and Wastage Records

We are looking for an individual who excels as part of a team, and who is organised and works well under pressure. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
