Background
This fixed-term part-time lecturer position is designed to cover teaching and assessment in the area of Speech and Language Therapy with Deaf People.
The position involves work alongside clinical and academic colleagues in the Department of Language and Communication Science to support course delivery of the BSc and MSc in Speech & Language Therapy.
Responsibilities
Person Specification
The candidate will hold a postgraduate qualification (ideally at PhD level), be a qualified and HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist (SLT), and hold a teaching qualification at University level. They will have highly specialist clinical experience as a SLT with Deaf people, plus experience of teaching and marking BSc and MSc students' work in the area of Deafness, including supervision of research projects. The successful candidate will have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, a co-operative working style and excellent teaching skills.
