Retraining and Reskilling Opportunity with the Daphne Jackson Trust and the National Physical Laboratory

Be part of something amazing.  The Daphne Jackson Trust has launched a new retraining and reskilling fellowship for Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) who have taken a career break of at least two years for family, health or caring reasons and want to return to an RTP role.  Applications are now being invited for a two year, part-time (0.5FTE) Daphne Jackson RTP Fellowship at The National Physical Laboratory (NPL). This opportunity is open to people looking to return to work within Physics or Engineering and will be based in the Time and Frequency team, based at the NPL Teddington Site.

About the role

At NPL, we are looking for someone with a passion for experimental physics and a desire to return to their science & research career to join our Time and Frequency Department. You will be based at our Teddington site and will use your analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to the design, implementation, and/or operation of specific systems which will push the boundary of measurement accuracy and stability (system and project will be defined based on candidate experience). You will have a strong practical aptitude and will use your training and skills to complete tasks requiring high attention to detail.

Please note that for this Retraining Research Technical Professional Fellowship a PhD is not essential.
