Are you passionate about supporting young people in a creative, dynamic environment? Do you have the drive to make a real difference in the personal and academic journeys of students training for a future in the performing arts?

Addict Dance Academy is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Pastoral Lead to join our supportive and vibrant team in Leicester city centre. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK’s leading professional training colleges for aspiring dancers and performers.

About the Role

The Pastoral Lead will support students aged 16 and over who are engaged in intensive vocational and academic training. You will work closely with the wider team to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and equipped to achieve their full potential – both as performers and as young adults.

The role will include:

  • Providing 1-to-1 support tutorials and follow-up sessions for students needing additional pastoral or academic support
  • Assisting with the setup and delivery of structured academic intervention sessions and tutorials
  • Supporting the shows, performances, and events throughout the academic year
  • Promoting high standards of attendance, punctuality, and behaviour through consistent systems and personalised intervention
  • Acting as a key point of contact for safeguarding and wellbeing concerns, with full training provided
  • Working proactively with the staff team, parents/guardians, and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and promote student success

You’ll be part of a passionate, student-focused staff team where collaboration and care are central to our ethos. This role offers variety, challenge, and the chance to be part of a unique creative learning environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is approachable, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely motivated by student wellbeing and development. You don’t need to have a background in dance or the arts, but you do need to bring energy, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping young people succeed.

Experience working in education, youth work, counselling, or a support-focused role is desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Essential Information

  • Full training, including safeguardingPREVENT, and ACT Awareness, will be provided
  • The successful candidate must undertake an Enhanced DBS check prior to appointment
  • The role is based at our main site in Leicester city centre, with occasional travel required for shows or external support sessions

Why Join Addict Dance Academy?

At Addict, we combine professional dance and performance training with a strong focus on academic and personal development. You’ll be part of a supportive, high-energy team that values collaboration, creativity, and compassion. If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in a unique educational setting, we’d love to hear from you.
