Open Research Adviser

Library & Cultural Services are seeking a collaborative and proactive Open Research Adviser to join the Open Research team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys connecting with researchers and scholarly communication professionals.

About the Role:

The Open Research Advisers play a crucial role in making the University's research outputs open access. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Supporting the delivery and assessment of open research training. 
• Conducting data analysis and reporting to measure the impact of our service. 
• Providing administrative support to the Open Research Manager. 
• Collaborating with researchers, doctoral students, and colleagues across the university. 

This position offers excellent opportunities for professional development and networking. You will use your expertise to: 

• Develop our understanding of current issues across the open research community.
• Maintain up-to-date information on the institutional repository.
• Contribute to a responsive enquiry service.

• Proven ability to provide excellent customer service 
• Analytical skills and experience with data processing

Hybrid working is offered for this role, where you will be able to work a proportion of time on campus and a proportion remotely. We recognise the benefits and importance of a culture that supports flexible working and are open to conversations throughout the application process.
