To provide leadership and contribute to the development of innovative research and teaching within the Reading School of Pharmacy (RSoP) and wider School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy.

Research at RSoP revolves around the following priority areas:

  • Medicines safety, health behaviours, and health services
  • Neurological disorders
  • Molecules and tools for health
  • Infectious, non-communicable, neglected tropical diseases,
  • Cardiovascular and metabolic disorders

The post holder will pursue a personal research programme in the general area of health research and publish the outcomes of their research in outlets of international standing. Their research will also have an impact on clinical practice and/or policy. They will also provide leadership and mentorship to inform the strategic planning and growth of research within the Health Services research team. It is expected that the post holder will also be contributing to the development and delivery of clinical education and training.

The successful applicant will have a demonstrable research portfolio, will be able to lead and work collaboratively with colleagues across the team and further afield, and will support, instigate change and deliver research that is impactful. There will be the opportunities to take additional leadership and academic administrative roles and to undertake appropriate professional development.
