The University of Reading is seeking to appoint an Examinations Administrator (Systems), based within the Examinations and Graduation Office. The role is to be initially recruited on a fixed-term and part-time basis (0.6 FTE – 22 hours/week), with the opportunity for the role to become full-time and permanent from April 2026 onwards.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated person who will contribute to the effective operation of the Examinations and Graduation Team’s activities, through the provision of high-quality administrative support of exam and assessment-related data. You will support the management of exam and results processing activities, with a particular focus on updating and maintaining the University’s student records system. You will provide support throughout the year to a wide range of colleagues on the various assessment protocols, policies and procedures of the University.

You will have:

  • Experience in an administrative role in a busy office environment.
  • The ability to work with large and complex databases including the maintenance of data.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively on your own initiative and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent and sensitive communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
