About Us:
DPAG is a leading centre for discovery science, bridging molecular, cellular, tissue, and systems-level physiology with translational medicine. We are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment.
The Role:
Are you driven to explore the biology behind cell survival and decision-making? Join the Klemm Group in a Wellcome Trust-funded project investigating how organelle communication shapes cellular health, stress responses, and fate decisions. This collaborative research focuses on membrane contact sites and the role of mitochondria in interacting with lipid droplets, the ER, lysosomes, and peroxisomes.
You’ll use advanced techniques such as confocal microscopy, live-cell imaging, immunofluorescence, proteomics, and image-based analysis. There’s also potential to expand into computational biology and data-driven modeling, depending on your interests. You’ll collaborate with departments across the South Parks Science Campus, including Biochemistry, the Kavli Institute, and the Dunn School of Pathology.
