Do you have a passion for enabling success and wellbeing? Are you an excellent organiser and communicator who can turn ideas into action? Join us at the University of London as we launch the new THRIVE programme – a dynamic three-month pilot that empowers students to build resilience, personal agency, and sustainable wellbeing.

The Role

As our Student Health & Wellbeing Officer, you’ll be at the heart of an exciting new initiative: the THRIVE programme pilot. Designed to equip students and staff with the tools to succeed, THRIVE focuses on building resilience, motivation, and personal agency through life-skills workshops, physical and mindfulness-based sessions, and accessible digital content.

This 5-month, fixed-term role is a unique opportunity to take the lead on developing and delivering a high-impact programme from the ground up. You’ll plan, coordinate, and promote an engaging calendar of events that empower students to succeed – not just academically, but in life beyond the classroom.

You’ll be based within Residential Services, as part of our small but impactful Student Health & Wellbeing team. You will work closely with colleagues across the University, including the Library, Estates, and Communications teams, as well as with external workshop facilitators. While the programme will be hosted in and around Senate House, your reach will extend across the University of London community – including students in the Intercollegiate Halls, SAS, ULIP, and Worldwide programmes.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Design and deliver an inspiring calendar of workshops, activities, and wellbeing content as part of the THRIVE pilot.
  • Coordinate logistics, bookings, communications, and day-to-day operations across Senate House and the Intercollegiate Halls.
  • Build strong working relationships with facilitators, staff, and students to bring the programme to life.
  • Promote the programme to a wide student audience.
  • Monitor attendance, gather feedback, and produce a final evaluation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience delivering or supporting wellbeing, engagement, and/or training
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience working with diverse communities
  • Competence with content creation and digital communication tools
  • Ability to organise and host, and record meetings and workshops

Why join us?

  • Deliver a flagship initiative that supports wellbeing and success
  • Shape a new programme from inception through implementation
  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Work flexibly
  • Be part of a dynamic, values-led team

Ready to make your mark?

If you’re a creative, motivated individual with a passion for student wellbeing, we encourage you to apply!
