Birkbeck, University of London, has an excellent opportunity for a Demonstrator to join the teaching team on its MSc Specialist programmes, and support the School of Psychological Sciences this Autumn term.
As Demonstrator you will teach the module:
As Demonstrator, you'll assist in the delivery of predetermined programmes of teaching to Birkbeck Psychological Science students, under academic supervision, to facilitate the successful completion of their studies.
You should engage in the scholarship necessary to ensure good practice in teaching and to apply appropriate levels of knowledge in the subject areas to be taught.
Most post-holders taking these roles will be employed as part of their general academic development to obtain practical teaching experience and will undertake this work independently but in parallel with postgraduate studies.

Remuneration:
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £23.96 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked. This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 6, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, and other examining duties in connection with the course.
Contract:
