Title: Business Development Manager - Wound Innovation
The role:
The University of Hull is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join the Wound Innovation Centre, an ambitious, high-profile initiative within the Faculty of Health Sciences. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the growth of research and commercial partnerships in an area with real potential to transform patient care and healthcare delivery.
Working at the interface of academia and industry, you will lead on the development of new collaborations, helping to grow income from contract research, consultancy, CPD, and other knowledge exchange activities. Your work will be central to positioning the University as a global leader in wound innovation and ensuring our research has lasting, practical impact.
This is a strategically important role within the University’s knowledge exchange team, requiring strong relationship-building skills, commercial awareness, and a sound understanding of the healthcare and life sciences sector. You will work closely with academic colleagues and external partners to shape and deliver opportunities that align with the University’s wider ambitions for innovation, impact, and global reputation in health research.
Selection Criteria:
Specialist experience in healthcare and life sciences, with the ability to work independently and provide expert advice.
