The Department of Computer and Information Sciences in partnership with Lifelink (https://www.lifelink.org.uk/) are seeking to appoint a KTP Associate (either a Data Solutions Architect with ML capabilities, or a Data Scientist with strong data engineering skills) to develop a centralised data warehouse and scheduling system that will transform the delivery of mental health services. By integrating multiple data sources and automating reporting, and exploiting this rich pool of historical data, this project will improve operational efficiency, support personalised delivery, and enable data driven decision making, delivering meaningful insights for therapists, leadership, and commissioners. The post will be predominantly based at Lifelink premises in Glasgow with visits to the University of Strathclyde campus.
Lifelink are one of the largest 3rd sector mental health and wellbeing service providers in Scotland and provide the only NHS outsourced mild to moderate support service of its kind in Scotland. You will be based predominantly at the company’s premises in Glasgow but will be employed by and have access to facilities of the University of Strathclyde. Further academic support from the project will be provided by Professor Marilyn Lennon and Dr Mark Dunlop from the Department’s Digital Health and Wellness Research Group. A key feature of the KTP position is a personal training and development allowance of £5,000 that you can use to develop skills related to the project that will help you to advance your career. You will also have the opportunity to register for a research degree (free of charge) based on the work carried out on the project.
