Recognised as one of the top training grounds for musicians in the world, and as one of the foremost venues within the UK, a hub that brings together students, young people, international artists, amateur musicians and our local community, the RNCM is seeking an exceptionally creative, forward-thinking and collaborative individual to oversee the programming of all its public performance activity. With a grounding in Classical Music, but a passion, interest and knowledge across many genres and periods of music, the successful candidate will work closely under the artistic leadership of the Deputy Principal (Performance and Programmes), and in collaboration with Heads of School, Heads of Chamber Music, Head of Ensembles and Head of Creative Engagement.
We are looking for a natural collaborator, leader and relationship-builder, someone who is very organised and can prioritise a busy workload of multiple projects, and who is driven by a passion to create and curate a relationship through performance between our students, staff, international guests and local community.
Respectful and knowledgeable of the Classical tradition you will be curious to explore fresh and innovative approaches to performance and relish pushing boundaries between genres and art forms. Driven by a belief in the power of music and its impact on society, you will have a strong passion to shape the future of music.
