About the role 

The Francis Crick Institute’s Academic Training Team (ATT) forms part of the Crick’s People (Human Resources, HR) Directorate. The team is responsible for the management, development and operation of the Crick’s early career researcher training programmes, including the PhD, undergraduate student, and clinical fellow training programmes. 

An opportunity has arisen for a well-organised professional to join and support the operation of the student sub-team within the ATT. As a Student Programme Coordinator, you will report to the PhD Student Support and Development Lead, working alongside other members of the student team.

What you will be doing

As a Student Programmes Coordinator at the Crick, you will: 

  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of Workday (our online employee resource platform) for the purposes of your daily role.
  • Administer student records on Workday; such as supporting the onboarding and induction of visiting students, and the extension and leaver processes for Crick PhD programme students and clinical fellows.
  • Perform learning administration tasks on Workday, including setting up course offerings, logging and monitoring student attendance at training.
  • Administer the student programme through engagement monitoring, tracking and chasing completion of progress milestones and training

About you

You will bring 

  • The ability to multitask and deal with a busy workload effectively.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with a diverse range of people, including those for whom English is not the first language.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
