About The Role
This is a maternity cover position for 12 months working full-time.
DATAMIND is a groundbreaking project, making the best use of the UK’s rich mental health data by enabling coordinated research with the ultimate aim of improving people’s lives.
Join a leading mental health research team that has secured over £40M in joint funding over the last five years. Led by Professor Ann John, the team focuses on child and adolescent mental health and suicide and self-harm prevention. Professor Ann John is the Co-Director of DATAMIND and the Health Data Research UK Hub for Mental Health, Director of the newly awarded National Centre for Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention (NCSSHP), Chair of the National Advisory Group on Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention to the Welsh Government, a member of SAGE and a Trustee of The Samaritans.
DATAMIND works to make best use of our rich mental health data and enable coordinated research. We want to improve people’s mental health by changing the way the NHS, charities, industry, and researchers use and share information that’s already out there. We have created a Hub where researchers and others can find and use mental health data, to benefit patients and the public and improve care. We work with patients and people with personal experience of mental illness to understand whom they trust to use their data, and to develop ways people can work together on mental health. We also work with researchers, policy makers, charities, and people in industry to understand what sort of data they think can answer their most important questions. Our innovative Hub allows future research to happen using data from places outside usual health care settings—such as from schools or charities.
We are looking for a Project Administrator to play a vital role in DATAMIND. You will work closely with our Project Managers, research team and Communications & Engagement Co-ordinator to ensure the project meets its objectives. You’ll assist with preparing project reports, handling correspondence, and managing communications with internal and external stakeholders. You will also respond to inquiries efficiently and support the team in keeping the project on track with its timelines and budgets. We are seeking someone with experience in project coordination, strong communication and organisational skills, and a passion for making a positive impact. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to DATAMIND and play a pivotal role in driving innovative research, foster collaboration across disciplines, and build research capacity to develop evidence-based strategies for suicide and self-harm prevention.
If you’re ready to make a difference and grow professionally, we encourage you to apply today!
