Faculty / Directorate
The Estates & Facilities Directorate is large and diverse, employing about 300 people, ranging from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, porters, and leisure centre assistants to property management professionals, architects, project officers, CAD, space management, sustainability and energy and administrative personnel.
The Security team sits within Estates & Facilities with the primary objective of providing a safe and secure environment for all staff, students, and authorised visitors. The Security team is open 24/7 with a wide variety of roles such as Building Attendants, Security Officers, Investigations, Team Leaders, and more.
Role
The key role of the Security Systems Administrator is to maintain and administer the university's Salto Space access control system and produce staff ID cards. The Security Systems Administrator will also maintain aspects of other security systems such as the Avigilon CCTV system, the key Traka system, the Security incident management system, and the Security Bodycam system. The successful candidate will work directly with the universities Security System Officer and must be confident working with a variety of stakeholders across the university in a constantly changing environment.
