Postdoctoral Research Associate (0.8 FTE)

The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Post Doctoral Research Associate to join the Peer-to-Peer Support in Head and Neck Cancer (HNC) project. The project aims to develop a new HNC peer support intervention, which can be subsequently evaluated in the HNC care pathway. The successful candidate will play a key role in the co-design of the HNC peer support intervention. The core components of the role will involve exploring patients’ relatives’, healthcare professionals and third sector organisations on the delivery of peer support.

You should have a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as psychology, speech and language therapy, public health or a related discipline.

The post is available for 16 months.

If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.

Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work more than 60% on campus.

This role is eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route.
