Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) in New Testament Studies - AO1991DD

Start Date: 1 August 2025 Hours: 27.19 hours per week Fixed Term: 10 months

We wish to appoint a fixed-term Associate Lecturer (education focused) in New Testament Studies within the School of Divinity. The post will be held from 1 August 2025 until 31 May 2026 (10 months); the appointment will be at 0.75 FTE.

You will be a scholar with a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching that falls within the broad field of New Testament and early Christian Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests that strengthen or complement those of the School, to be capable of teaching the subject to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds, and to be able to supervise undergraduate dissertation projects. 

Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. You should also have some familiarity with grant seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.
