This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role delivering high-quality education administration within the Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy (SSPP). Home to four inter-disciplinary Schools, Global and Policy Institutes, and the International School for Government, SSPP is one of the largest, most diverse and international communities for social research and education in Europe.
The School of Global Affairs includes the departments of Geography, Global Health and Social Medicine and International Development and the Global Insititute which comprise King’s India Institute, Lau China Institute, Menzies Australia Institute, King’s Brazil Insititute and the African Leadership Centre.
The Education team are responsible for approximately 950 undergraduate and 550 postgraduate students based on the Strand campus.
About the role
The Senior Education Manager leads the management and delivery of high-quality education-focussed administration, providing excellent customer service and support for the School of Global Affairs. The role also leads on the implementation and operationalisation of the faculty and college’s strategic education priorities and projects at academic department and school levels.
They will support the design of policies and processes in liaison with the Faculty Education Team, ensuring that resources are utilised effectively and service delivery issues are addressed. They will advise on and deliver the school’s strategic education objectives and projects, including the Student Futures Programme, and work in collaboration with both academic and professional services staff to deliver world-class programme administration and support for our community, ensuring a student-centred approach.
Successful candidates will have a proactive approach to leadership with strong experience of line management, building and working across networks and creating high-performing, motivated administration teams. They will have a good understanding of programme administration within Higher Education, a commitment to continuous improvement and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Reporting to the Head of School Operations and with a dotted line to the Faculty’s Associate Director, Education, the role-holder will co-create the school’s strategic plans for education delivery, policy and programme administration and development. The role-holder will also be responsible for the quality assurance of new and ongoing programmes of study within the school.

This role is currently offered on a hybrid basis, and the role-holder will spend two days of their working week on campus and the rest of the week working remotely.
This is a full-time post (3 5hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
