The Department of Psychology are offering seven funded, part-time PhD training posts. You should hold a 1st Class honours degree, or be working towards a 1st Class degree (or equivalent). The posts are available from 1st September 2025 until 31st August 2029 and will have associated teaching duties, equivalent to 0.5 FTE, with part-time PhD registration fees (at home / UK rate) met by the Department. Teaching duties will include contributing to the provision of statistics, research methodology, and laboratory classes to year one and year two undergraduates, in addition to a number of designated administrative roles.
Psychology at Liverpool enjoys a strong reputation for research excellence, with first class research facilities and a large community of research postgraduate students. The research areas available for these posts are in any of the main research areas within the Department of Psychology (see Job Description for specific research areas and potential supervisors). All candidates must discuss their research proposals with potential research supervisors prior to applying, and will be required to submit an outline research proposal.
Unfortunately, this role is not eligible for sponsorship under the skilled worker route, you will therefore need to demonstrate your own right to work in the UK.
