The Aston School of Computer Science and Digital Technologies is looking for a lecturer in Cyber Security to help reinforce its research and teaching in the area. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across several areas of the computer science and cyber security curricula. As the successful candidate you will have a strong research area in Cyber Security.

The school is experiencing a period of growth in terms of research activity and student recruitment in the digital sciences: computer science, cyber security, artificial intelligence and data science. As the successful candidate you will be expected to have an excellent research track record, commensurate with their career stage, and show signs of innovative and independent thinking. You will also be encouraged to actively participate in the development of new and exciting curricula.

The salary being offered for this role is below the minimum threshold for required to sponsor new applicants to the Skilled Worker route. However, Aston University may be able to sponsor the successful candidate if they:
• Are under 26 years old
• Hold a PhD that is relevant to the role
• Have held a Student or Graduate visa in the last 2 years
• Are already in the UK with a Tier 2 or Skilled Worker visa issued before April 4th 2024
