Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Educational Psychology to join us at an exciting phase in our development. You will have a PhD in Psychology (or equivalent) and be an active researcher able to make strong contributions to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF exercise). With the potential to produce internationally excellent outputs, you will also committee to the pursuit of external grant funding, fostering impacts from your research, and seeking opportunities for knowledge exchange activities.

You will be able to afford our students an outstanding university experience by making a significant contribution to the delivery of our Undergraduate and Postgraduate level teaching. Specialist expertise and knowledge in educational psychology is expected for this post. You will be committed to ensuring our students benefit from exemplary education and opportunities to develop transferable employability skills.

About you

Through your contributions to teaching excellence, you will be inspire our students to achieve their full potential.

With an established research profile in Psychology, you will demonstrate how your research plans support our ambitious strategy for increasing the quality of our research outputs, external income generation, and extending the reach of our impact and/or knowledge exchange activities.

Leadership experience is expected, and willingness to take on Programme Leadership of our specialist undergraduate pathway in Educational Psychology will be advantageous.

To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your coaching and mentorship skills, and subject knowledge, evidenced through your qualifications and experience. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within our discipline.
