Job Description:
Academic Registry is looking to appoint a Senior Reporting and Data Analysis Officer. This is an exciting role which is critical in delivering reporting and data services for Academic Registry.
With experience of building reports for both operational and management information purposes you will be familiar with the extraction of data, designing and developing reports and analysing data, using reporting tools such as Power BI and JasperSoft.
You will be a key member of the Systems and Developments team within Academic Registry, developing a strong understanding of student data and contribute to the development of a holistic reporting service, working with colleagues across Academic Registry and the University.
As well as having strong technical reporting skills and experience, you will have a strong work ethic and be a committed team player, with the drive to continuously improve working practices.
Academic Registry is one of the University of South Wales’ (USW) professional service departments, delivering a range of key administration and information services for students throughout their studies, from enrolment to graduation. We also oversee the University's arrangements for academic quality assurance and enhancement and provide casework services for students.
This is a fixed term role for 2 years The University is operates a hybrid model of working; however, you will be expected to work on campus for part of the week. While the role will be based in Academic Registry at Pontypridd, you may also be required/able to work at the University’s other campuses at Cardiff and Newport.
