You will join a team working closely with academics and technical staff from the School of Engineering and the Institute of Population Health. As part of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and producing a working prototype of a novel approach to using a Virtual Reality system with patients undergoing medical procedures in high radiation and magnetic field environments.
You will need to have good communication skills and work well within a team. You will also need to use the School of Engineering’s in-house manufacturing facilities and be confident with the procurement of components for this project, working closely with the highly skilled engineering workshop technical staff.
You should have a Degree Level in Mechanical/Design Engineering and relevant professional experience.
The post is fixed term, for 6 months.
