This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Nursing and Healthcare subject group at Leeds Beckett University, delivering education across a range of courses and contributing to our research ambitions. As a team we are committed to high quality teaching and learning for all our students using specialist teaching rooms, technology, simulation and innovative placement experiences.
We are seeking a Registered Adult Nurse, who can provide high-quality teaching, learning and assessment. Alongside this, is the opportunity to develop your own academic career in teaching and research.
Our teaching team has a range of expertise in all areas of nursing and healthcare and are responsible for the educational portfolio which includes the BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing, BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing (degree apprenticeship); BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing; BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing (degree apprenticeship); FdSc Nursing Associate; PG Dip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing; PG Diploma Community Specialist Practitioner, and other post qualifying continuing professional development courses.
You must be an NMC registrant (and eligible for ongoing registration) and have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical, and theoretical issues relevant to contemporary school nursing practice. You will have experience of working with learners in Higher Education, designing, and delivering learning opportunities and have a good understanding of education practice. A non-medical prescribing qualification would be an advantage. Experience of the ability to undertake and support research activity or develop your own research portfolio is desirable. The ability to work co-operatively as a member of a large academic team is essential.
