Key Responsibilities

As a Laboratory Animal Technician, you will:

• Provide care for laboratory animals, ensuring their well-being through routine day-to-day animal husbandry duties including feeding and watering.
• Conduct breeding of genetically modified animals with proven techniques.
• Strictly adhere to ethical and regulatory standards to maintain the highest quality research support service.
• Participate in weekend work on a rota basis to ensure continuous care for the animals.
• Collaborate with researchers to determine and efficiently implement protocols that support their ambitious research projects.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Previous experience working in an animal research environment.
• A professional background in animal technology.
• Proven experience in breeding genetically modified animals.
