The MA Drama and Movement Therapy programme at Central is looking to recruit a part-time lecturer to teach, supervise and work alongside the Programme Leader on aspects of the day-to-day running of the course. The role holder will be trained in the Sesame approach to drama and movement therapy and contribute to teaching Preparation for Clinical Practice and Clinical Studies.

This will include session planning using the Sesame structure and teaching psychopathology, diagnosis, and treatment planning, with reference to the standards of proficiency for drama therapists as outlined by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

The role holder will lead both practice placement modules in the first year, including planning and liaison with supervisors and coordinating assessment and moderation. In the second year, the role will include running group supervision sessions for students working as trainee drama therapists in different settings. The role holder will contribute to marking academic work from other modules.

The role holder will undertake professional practice, scholarship, knowledge exchange and/or research activities at a level appropriate for Lecturer.

This role will require an enhanced DBS for Child and Adult Workforce.
