About the role
The Senior Developer role sits within the Delivery & Operations pillar of the Digital, Data and Technology Group.
As a Senior Developer (Student Systems) within the Platforms & Applications group, the postholder will work on the University’s Student Record System – a critical system for recruiting students, managing their academic journey, and awarding degrees.
They will be responsible for the development, configuration, support and maintenance of the University’s Tribal SITS software, along with related applications, services, & integrations.
The Senior Developer will join a small team working closely with data owners across the University – including Admissions, Academic Registry, & Finance – to ensure the system is configured to support the efficient operation of the institution. The University is currently migrating its core applications to cloud platforms, and experience with similar migrations (even on different systems) will be of interest.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in supporting & configuring commercial off-the-shelf applications, as well as integrating these systems within a broader enterprise ecosystem.
In addition to in-application configuration, candidates will need technical skills in HTML, JavaScript, SQL, Git, and related tools.
A market supplement of up to £4,000 may be offered at the University’s discretion, based on skills & experience.
This is a full-time (36.5 hours per week), permanent role.
